We have a wide range of self catering holiday cottages, all situated in the Lake District around the village of Hawkshead and Esthwaite Water.We created Hideaways 16 years ago with the aim of bringing the personal service back into letting holiday homes.

If you have enjoyed the Miss Potter film we are pleased to be able to offer the largest selection of cottages in and around her home, so you can spend a week exploring for yourself the beautiful area that inspired her.
Just 400m from her home in Sawrey we have 2 delightful Lakeland cottages, Sunnyside and Stoneycroft Cottages.
