More Info: Virgin Mobile Australia (VMA) is a growing telecommunications based in Sydney, Australia. It was formed in October, 2000 under a 50/50 joint venture between Virgin Mobile UK and Optus.
Whilst Virgin used the Optus infrastructure, Virgin's management practices were still upheld along with all the aspects of product branding, customer service and billing. Under the new management of CEO Sue bailey and CFO Michael Seymour, Virgin has continued to grow and has now over 1 millions customers.
Some of the products on offer at VMA are prepaid, monthly, CAP plans and mobile broadband plans. You may have also seen some of their upbeat commercials such as the character known as 5c which is obviously a parody of the rapper 50c; this ad won the titanium lion award at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival in 2005. Virgin mobile's culture is upbeat, friendly, innovative which is fueled by their dynamic leader Sir Richard Branson.
