South East IP: Intellectual Property
South East IP is a new collaboration between six of the South East's research institutions to encourage the transfer of technology to commercial applications. For the first time, opportunities for technology investment and commercialisation.
More Info: South East IP is a partnership between six institutions: The National Physical Laboratory, The University of Reading, Royal Holloway, University of London, The University of Surrey, The University of Sussex and Brunel University.
We're here to make technology transfer easier: to help new ideas and discoveries to find commercial applications, and for our partner institutions to find projects for the specialist equipment and skills they have. Our technology transfer program helps to find investors for new ideas, and opportunities for investors. We also help our partner institutions to identify areas where they can collaborate.
We know how to turn academic research into business opportunities: because we understand both the academic and the commercial aspects of technology transfer we can help to make the process of commercialising an idea smooth and trouble-free.
South East IP is a new approach to the transfer of technology in the South East. We hope it will be the beginning of increased collaboration between UK research establishments, and that together we can develop better ways to turn the results of our work into economic and social benefits.
