AAPC: Medical Coding & Billing
The American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) was founded in 1988 in an effort to elevate the standards of medical coding by providing certification, ongoing education, networking and recognition.
More Info: The AAPC provides certified credentials to medical coders in physician offices, hospital outpatient facilities, ambulatory surgical centers and in payer organizations.
The three certifications (CPC®, CPC-H®, and CPC-P®) are the gold standard certification for medical coding.
